CHAMBER TO LAUNCH QUARTERLY ECONOMIC LUNCHEON PROGRAM | David L. Littmann, senior economist with the Mackinac Center for Public Policy will speak as the Chamber launches a series of Economic Luncheon events on March 30th. He retired from Comerica Bank after a 35 year career as Senior VP and Chief Economist. In 2004, Mr. Littman received the 2003 Lawrence R. Klein Award for Blue Chip Forecast Accuracy. This is one of the most prestigious and long-standing awards in the profession. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan. More program details will follow. | VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT | The American Cancer Society Relay For Life® is seeking volunteers in Lenawee County- walkers, cancer survivors, caregivers, community leaders, anyone wanting to make a difference - to organize and recruit fundraising teams, garner community support, coordinate logistics, seek refreshments and prizes, plan entertainment and lend a hand to ensure the success of the 2010 event. The first volunteer committee meeting will be held on March 18, 2010 at 5:30 pm at Dominican Hall at Siena Heights University. The meeting will begin the planning process for the Relay For Life of Lenawee Community, which supports the American Cancer Society's mission of saving lives by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back against the disease |

Civitan's 32nd Annual Grand Giveaway will be held at the Siena Heights Field house. The theme is "The Roarin' Twenties" - Tickets are $150 for a couple which will get them a prime rib dinner w/ all the trimmings plus a chance to win the top prize of $10,000. Doors open at 5:00 P.M. and Dinner is at 6:00 P.M. Civitan's Grand Giveaway is a reverse raffle and we sell 300 tickets so the chances of winning are very good.
